I'm going home this weekend and my sister and I are going to decorate our family's Christmas cake. This lovely snowy cake has certainly given me some inspiration!

Prettiness!

Some cakes are just unashamedly pretty. And this yellow and white tiered wedding cake from Whipped Bakeshop has prettiness in bucket-loads!

This layered wedding cake is just beautiful. I have great admiration for anyone who can paint like this, especially onto icing. The little birds are love, to colouring is wonderful, and the little nest on the top just completes the win. I'd actually be tempted to get married if it meant having a cake like this! Although I might have a problem sharing it with my guests...

I love how there can be a cake for any occasion. Even the advent of a new season is reason enough (hey, that rhymes!) to make a cake. And that means there's reason enough for me to eat it.
